David Matthew Douglas is a New York-based Producer of Film, Events and Digital Media. He has traveled to more than 25 countries on five continents as a producer of corporate media productions and events and holds an M.A. degree in Media Studies and Film.
Since 2009 he has been an Executive Producer of RIPFEST Collaborative Film Project (www.ripfest.com) for which he has guided production of more than 15 film projects. In addition he has produced four short films: "Dottie's Thanksgiving Pickle" (starring Academy Award Winner Olympia Dukakis), "Wolfman, DDS" (with SNL's Will Forte), "The Poets" (currently in post-production) and "Fetus Envy" (currently in pre-production). "Dottie's Thanksgiving Pickle" was named a finalist in the Hollywood Shorts Film Festival, The New Jersey Film Festival, The Garden State Film Festival and the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival.
Television production credits include "The Tenth Annual TV Land Awards", "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" at NBC, "The Bedford Diaries" at the WB Network and several projects in Development at the Oxygen Network.
David is also a classically trained professional actor who recently appeared as King Claudius in "Hamlet" at the State Theatre in New Jersey, as Duke Frederick and Duke Senior in "As You Like it" for BAMA Theatre Company and the Duke of Venice in "Othello" at Theatre Row. Regional credits include the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Syracuse Stage, Studio Arena, and two seasons at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival where he received his M.F.A.
A passionate hobby is the sport of TRIATHLON, and he has completed seven international races in the past few seasons, in New York, Florida, Colorado, Italy, and Germany. He is currently training for his first full Ironman Triathlon in August 2012.
