David Matthew Douglas

David Matthew Douglas is a New York-based Actor and Producer of Film, Events and Digital Media. He has traveled to more than 25 countries on five continents as a producer of corporate media productions and events and holds a M.A. degree in Media Studies and Film. He is an Executive Producer of RIPFEST Collaborative Film Project (www.ripfest.com) currently gearing up for its 12th season, and recently produced three short films: "Dottie's Thanksgiving Pickle" (starring Academy Award Winner Olympia Dukakis), "Wolfman, DDS" (with SNL's Will Forte) and "The Poets" (currently in post-production). "Dottie's Thanksgiving Pickle" has recently been named a finalist in the Hollywood Shorts Film Festival, The New Jersey Film Festival, The Garden State Film Festival and the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival. Television production credits include "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" at NBC, "The Bedford Diaries" at the WB Network and several projects in Development at the Oxygen Network. David is also a classically trained professional actor who recently appeared as King Claudius in "Hamlet" with BAMA Theatre Company for the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival, and in 2010 as Duke Frederick and Duke Senior in "As You Like it" for BAMA Theatre Company and the Duke of Venice in "Othello" at Theatre Row. Regional credits include the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Syracuse Stage, Studio Arena, and two seasons at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival where he received his M.F.A. As an avid triathlete he has completed seven international races in the past two seasons, in New York, Florida, Colorado, Italy, Germany, and is currently training for his first full Ironman Triathlon in 2012.
